IOALOGI – Build and rebuild Index file for the IOA Log file

The IOALOGI utility builds, rebuilds, or updates the IOA Log Index file. The new Index file corresponds to information contained in the IOA Log file.

Note: Before building the Index file for the first time, the Index file to be built must be allocated and formatted prior running the IOALOGI utility.

This utility is used in two cases:

• When a new Index file is first created. In this case:
  • Format the Index file using the IOADBF utility
  • Create the Index file using the IOALOGI utility
• When the current Index file does not correspond to information contained in the IOA Log file. In this case:
  • Do not format the old Index file
  • Execute the IOALOGI utility

Note: The Index file is not updated together with the IOA LOG file. Run the IOALOGI utility periodically to update the Index file.
