The IOA Log file is generally copied to a sequential file for archiving. The sequential file can be restored for access under ISPF (for example, browsing) and for use by report generators.
A date range for the log records to be copied can be specified. If a date range is not specified, the entire Log file is copied.
The target sequential file is referenced by DD statement DALOGSEQ. The existing Log file is referenced by DD statement DALOGCUR.
You should use the utility daily to copy the contents of the IOA Log file to a sequential file. Use of AutoEdit parameters can simplify the process.
