Action parameters

• Multiple sets of CALENDAR-LIB and CAL statements are permitted.
• CALENDAR-LIB and CAL statements refer to the library and member names of the Control-M for z/OS calendar or Rule-Based calendar library that the IOACLB utility is converting. At least one CAL statement for each CALENDAR-LIB statement is required.
• Masking, using ? and * wildcards, in the CAL parameter is permitted.
• Comment statements begin with an asterisk (*) in the first column of the line.

Calendar types

IOACLB supports the following calendar types:

• Regular (days marked with Y, N or blank)
• Periodic (days marked with a period indicator)
• Relative (days marked with Y, N, +, - or blank)

• RBC - Rule-Based calendars (For more information, see the Control-M User Guide). The Control-M CTMTLB utility is invoked to create the XML file for RBCs.

OUTPUT file

The IOACLB utility produces the CALXML output file. The CALXML file contains statements in XML format that are suitable as input to the defcal Control-M utility. The file must have the following attributes: RECFM=FB, LRECL=4095. These statements are in standard EBCDIC format, which must be transformed to ASCII format before being used as input to the defcal utility. When transforming the file from EBCDIC to ASCII, do not specify the CRLF (Carriage Return and Line Feed) file option.
