BMC recommends that you create a backup of the Control‑M/Analyzer libraries.

When backing up the installed environment, verify that the IOA Base libraries, Installation libraries, Operations libraries, and SMP‑related data sets are backed up. This backup allows you to restore the original IOA environment when required, so that Control‑M/Analyzer can be reinstalled if a significant number of changes are made to the parameters, or if an unrecoverable failure occurs during installation.
