The MVS Tape Label Processing Exits are dynamically installed during CONTROL-M/Tape initialization (using the CTTINIT procedure), and removed when Control-M/Tape terminates.

An advantage in performing a dynamic installation is that you do not have to perform an IPL (which you would need to do if you performed a static installation) to have the exits take effect. If you choose to perform a dynamic installation, set the DYNINTR parameter to Y in the CTTPARM member definition.

To verify that the MVS Tape Label Processing Exits can be dynamically installed, start Control-M/Tape real time environment procedure in VERIFY mode. Use the following syntax:
