Media database calculations

The initial calculation of the Media database data and index components is performed automatically using ICE, and is described in Step 5.1 – Media database space calculation. The following explanations are for information only.

If at a later stage you wish to change the space allocations calculated automatically during the installation process, you can use the Customize procedure provided in the IOA Installation – Main Menu.

1. Open IOA Installation – Main Menu.
2. Type CTT in the Product ID field.
3. Type 6 in the OPTION field, to select option 6, Customize.
   The Major Steps Selection screen is displayed.
4. Select option 2, Customize Control-M/Tape Data sets, and press Enter.
   The Minor Steps Selection screen is displayed.
5. Select option 1, Media Database Space Calculation, and press Enter.
   The CTT Media Database Space Calculation screen is displayed.
