Step 3.1 – Specify CTT target libraries and members

These parameters are saved in the DEFPARM member in the IOA.PARM library.

Enter values for the parameters shown in the following table.

Note: When specifying values for parameters or subparameters that include both unit and volser fields, you must either define both the Unit and Volser fields, or leave both of them blank. Do not enter a value for only one of them.

ILPREFT

High level data set name qualifiers (prefix) of the Control‑M/Tape Installation libraries.

  • Mandatory
  • Maximum length: 35 characters

The value specified for this parameter must be different from the values specified for ILPREFx parameters of other products.

ILUNITT

Disk unit for Control‑M/Tape installation libraries.

ILVOLT

Volume serial number for Control‑M/Tape installation libraries.

OLPREFT

High level data set name qualifiers (prefix) of the Control‑M/Tape operations libraries.

  • Mandatory
  • Maximum length: 27 characters

OLUNITT

Disk unit for Control‑M/Tape operations libraries.

OLVOLT

Volume serial number for Control‑M/Tape operations libraries.

DBPREFT

High level data set name qualifiers (prefix) of the Control‑M/Tape database files. This prefix must be from 1 through 27 characters in length and may include periods. The last character must not be a period.

  • Mandatory
  • Maximum length: 27 characters

TEAVUSE

Allows allocation of Control-T Media database and Stacking Database files (IOA Access method) on EAV (Extended Address Volumes). Optional.

Valid values are:

  • OPT- Allows allocation on EAV. Default.
  • NO - Prevents allocation on EAV.

DBUNITT

Unit name for the Control‑M/Tape database data component. Specify a generic unit (for example, 3390 – not SYSDA).

DBVOLT

Volume serial number for the Control‑M/Tape database data component.

TRCUNIT

Unit name for the Control‑M/Tape Trace file. Specify a generic unit (for example, 3390, not SYSDA).

TRCVOL

Volume serial number for the Control‑M/Tape Trace file. For recovery reasons, the Trace file must be placed on a different disk than the rest of the Control‑M/Tape database.
