Step 13.5 – Start Control-O monitor (optional)

Start the Control‑O monitor by issuing the command S CONTROLO in all computers in which Control‑O should run or in which the Control‑M Event Manager subsystem should be active. As previously stated, the Control‑O monitor also functions immediately as the Control‑M Event Manager subsystem.

note: If the CMEM monitor (CTMCMEM) is active, bring it down before starting Control‑O.

Edit the COMMNDxx member in the SYS1.PARMLIB library.

If the command S CTMCMEM exists in the COMMND00 member, it must be deleted to start Control‑O. Only the command S CONTROLO should remain in this member.

For more information, see the Control‑O chapter of the INCONTROL for z/OS Administrator Guide.
