Step 2.3 – Installation considerations

By default, CBRSQL* jobs (where * represents a suffix for these IBM jobs) use the BP0, BP1, BP2 and BP32K pools. If your site uses other buffer pools, do either of the following:

To allocate and define only the storage groups you require, as discussed in the preceding step, remove the appropriate steps from the CBRIALC* and CBRISQL* jobs. Define the VIEWS of the removed groups on an existing group so that OAM plans can bind successfully.

Control‑V does not use the OAM CICS interface. Therefore, there is no need to change CICS installation parameters when installing IBM OAM only for the migration application of Control‑V.

When defining the management class used for Control‑V OAM objects, do not define any expiration or retention period. Control‑V deletes an object at the end of its normal retention period as specified in the Migration Mission definition.

To redefine a storage group that was defined only as a VIEW, delete its defined VIEW, allocate a new cluster for the storage group, and then define the storage group to DB2.
