Table 79 Communication parameters

Parameter

Description

HOST

Enter one of the following:

  • Name of host, up to 38 characters in length
  • IP address - Either an IPv4 address (for example 192.168.10.1) or an IPv6 address (full 39 characters or abbreviated, for example 2001:500:100:1447::7). For examples of IPv6 addresses, refer to message ECAP9UE.

Note: You can improve performance when transferring reports to Control-D/Delivery Server by using the compression option. This compresses the data that is to be transmitted by the TCP/IP link. To use this option, type ', C' at the end of the IP address.

For example, if the IP address is 172.16.240.92, type 172.16.240.92,C.

PORT

Port number of the Session Manager defined during the installation of Control-D/Delivery Server.

MAIL_HOST

SMTP host to be used when sending e-mails.

DSR_NAME

Name of the repository to which the reports are transferred.

MFR_NAME

Name of the repository producing the reports, as defined in Control‑D/Desktop. This is used when retrieving resources through Control‑D Page on Demand.

USER_NAME

User name to be used on login to the repository.

PASSWORD

Password to be used on login to the repository.
