IOA Dynamic Destination table

One of the facilities that uses the functional monitor is the Shout facility. It allows the user to specify messages to be sent to various destinations upon occurrence of various execution events.

Destinations in a production environment are not necessarily fixed. For example, the TSO user ID of the Shift Manager might be different in every shift. The Dynamic Destination table allows the user to specify a group name destination and the final destinations indicated by the name. A group destination name can also be defined to distribute information to multiple destinations.

Before using the IOA Shout facility services, you must build and define the parameters in the IOADEST sample member in the IOA PARM library. For more information about the Dynamic Destination table and its parameters, see the Dynamic Destination Table section in the INCONTROL for z/OS Administrator Guide.
