Most PC 3270 emulators do not support underscoring (underlining). When a field contains an underscore attribute, it may appear as reverse video on the screen. In some screens, this results in a cluttered appearance.

The USCORE IOA Profile variable controls whether underscoring is used.

• If USCORE is set to NO, underscore is suppressed where specified. Default.
• If USCORE is set to YES, underscore is applied where specified.

You can change the setting of this parameter as follows:

1. In the ICE main window, select Customization.
2. Set the product ID to IOA.
3. Select Product Customization, and press Enter.
4. Select option 3, Profile Variables, and press Enter.
5. Select option 6, Miscellaneous, and press Enter.

Reset the value of USCORE, then press PF03/PF15 repeatedly to exit these menus.
