CMEM considerations

The Control‑M Event Manager (CMEM) is an optional feature of Control‑M. CMEM can be activated for one or more computers in the complex. It is based on a monitor and the IOA subsystem. CMEM communicates with Control‑M

The monitor-to-subsystem file CTM2SBS is required in both Sysplex and non-Sysplex environments.

If Control‑O is installed and active, Control‑O executes all functions that are performed by CMEM. It loads the CMEM rules and communicates with the Control‑M monitor through the MVS System Logger or by the communication files. For more information, see the Control‑M chapter in the INCONTROL for z/OS Administrator Guide.
