The IOA Online monitor interacts with various environments, such as CICS, to provide the online interface for IOA applications. The IOA Online monitor generates the INCONTROL product screens and handles all IOA Online functions.

This monitor usually operates 24 hours a day as a started task is usually activated automatically as part of the IPL process.
