Although no special configuration requirements are necessary, the following points must be taken into consideration:
All MVS systems (on which Control‑M's GSM and LSMs monitors can run) must be members of one Parallel Sysplex with a Shared Spool (either JES2 MAS complex or JES complex). The Coupling Facility structure used by CTMPLEX must be available to all such Sysplex members.
The corresponding JES subsystems must share the same spool and checkpoint datasets. This means that the spool must be a JES2 multiaccess spool (MAS) configuration or a JES3 complex.
The size of the Coupling Facility’s List Structure is calculated based on numbers supplied during installation. These numbers must be carefully evaluated to make the List Structure large enough to contain all active jobs at any time, but not to make it too large so that it adversely affects the operation of the Coupling Facility itself.
A global resource serialization product (GRS, MIM or an equivalent product) must be used in the complex. In a Parallel Sysplex environment, every Sysplex member must be in the same Global Resource Serialization complex, since CTMPLEX needs a Global Serialization of resources in the complex.
