Control‑M may be affected by events occurring on the node where Control‑M runs. For example, system down (regular maintenance or system crash), disk crash, and line-down problems.
If Control‑M is employed on a single node, such events affect the whole network. However, if, each node employs its own Control‑M system, only one part of the network is affected.
