Workload management service class support

Control-M can automatically assign jobs to workload management (WLM) service classes. The WLM SRVCLASS table, WLMSCTBL, located in the CTM PARM library, can be created by the user and will be used by Control-M as the driver of workload management service class support. If present, the table is automatically loaded at Control-M initialization. When a job is submitted by Control-M, the job is assigned the 'Job-Init' service class. If the job is submitted after DUE-IN time, the job is assigned the 'AftDueIn' service class. If the job is submitted or is running after DUE-OUT time, the job is reset to the 'AfDueOut' service class. Workload management service class support is composed of the following:

• The WLMSCSAM sample table, which resides in the CTM PARM library. It contains usage notes, a complete description of the processing involved, and the table layout. This sample table can be used as a template when the actual WLM SRVCLASS table, WLMSCTBL, is created.
• The NEWLMSCTBL operator command, which enables the user to have Control-M dynamically reload the table while Control-M is running.
• The CTMX020 user exit, in which the user can make a last-moment change to the service class Control-M is about to assign to the job.
