History file processing for AJF space reuse

By default, when the Control-M monitor is started, History file processing for AJF space reuse is enabled. As a result, when a job matches the relevant criteria for space reuse and the job contains a History retention period, the job is copied to the History AJF before its records are designated for space reuse. If History file allocation processing is disabled, a job containing a retention period will subsequently not become a candidate for space reuse. The job will be excluded for space reuse until History file processing is enabled.

History file activity is controlled by issuing modify commands to the Control-M monitor. The following modify commands are available:

F CONTROLM,HISTALOC=DISABLE

This command deallocates the History file from the Control-M monitor. As a result, space reuse continues processing without considering for deletion jobs having a History retention period.

The DISABLE command can be used when the History file size must be increased.

F CONTROLM,HISTALOC=ENABLE

This command allocates the History file to the Control-M monitor. As a result, space reuse will consider for deletion jobs having a History retention period.
