If a Control‑O rule queries the Control‑M Active Jobs file (AJF) or the Control‑M Resources file, it accesses them through the Control‑M API (CTMAPI).
When maintenance of the AJF and Control‑M Resources file is required, you can stop and restart Control‑O allocation of the AJF and the Control‑M Resources file through the CTMAPI, without having to stop Control‑O. To do this, use the following commands:
Table 205 Commands to Control Access of the CTMAPI
Command |
Description |
---|---|
F CONTROLO,CTMAPISTOP
|
Stops Control‑O usage of the CTMAPI, thereby deallocating the AJF and Control‑M Resources file. |
F CONTROLO,CTMAPISTART
|
Enables the CTMAPI to allocate the AJF and/or Control‑M Resources file the next time a Control‑O rule requests information. |
Note: The first time a rule requests information, the CTMAPI allocates the AJF and/or Control‑M Resources file to Control‑O, which remain allocated until specifically stopped with the F CONTROLO,CTMAPISTOP command.
For a description of the messages generated by these commands, see the INCONTROL for z/OS Messages Manual.
