Accessing AutoEdit Variables Globally

AutoEdit variables can be made available globally to Control‑O (and other INCONTROL products) in one of the following two methods:

• using global members
• using the IOA Variable Database facility

Global members and databases are managed in different ways.

Note: If a function mentioned in this chapter is applicable to both global members and variables databases, it is indicated in the description of that function.

When Control‑O is started, it reads the global members and IOA databases and loads the global variables defined in those members and databases into memory. The list of members and databases to be loaded is specified in DD statement DAGLBLST of the Control‑O monitor procedure.
