Installation parameter SMODE (Stand-alone mode) in member CTOPARM determines how requests to write to the IOA Log facility are handled. The following operator command can be used to temporarily override the value specified in this installation parameter:
F CONTROLO,SMODE=x |
where x equals F (Forced), Y (Yes), or N (No).
For a description of SMODE values, see the ICE Step 2.1 discussion of Control‑O Operational Parameters, in the Control‑O chapter of the INCONTROL for z/OS Installation Guide: Installing. If an invalid value is specified for SMODE=, the following message is generated:
