Whether an IOA Mirror Conditions file is maintained.

Valid values are:

• Y – Mirror IOA Conditions file is maintained.
• N – Mirror IOA Conditions file is not maintained. Default.

IOA mirror files are useful for overall disaster recovery planning. A site can recover quickly and easily from a disk crash involving the regular IOA shared files if a mirror image of those files is maintained on another disk.

Note: The setting of this parameter also determines whether the dual Active Jobs File of Control‑M is maintained.

CNDLOG

Setting determines whether condition changes are logged, and if so, the destination where logging occurs.

Valid values are:

• No—No logging required.
• IOALOG — Log all condition changes to the IOA LOG. Default.
• SYSLOG — Use WTO to log all condition changes to the system SYSLOG.

LOGIND

Whether to use IOA log indexing.

Valid values are:

• Y — Activate use of the IOA LOG Index file
• N — Deactivate use of the IOA LOG Index file

The IOA Log Index provides direct access to specific records or ranges of records in the IOA Log file.

This feature significantly decreases the number of required I/O operations, thereby saving reading time and CPU.

The IOA Log Index has the following impact on the retrieval of IOA Log messages:

• Index not active or log file not indexed:

  When getting log messages, all log messages for the specific time period are read serially.

• Index is active and log file is indexed:

  When getting log messages, only the required log messages are read and then the unindexed log messages (if they exist) are read serially.
