Testing connectivity between Control-M and the SAP system

This procedure describes how to test the connectivity between Control-M and the SAP system.

Before you begin

Do one of the following:

• Windows: Open a new DOS prompt window.
• UNIX: Ensure that you are logged on as the Control-M/Agent user.

To test connectivity between Control-M and the SAP system:

• Type one of the following commands:
  • UNIX:

    ctmr3req -SAPR3-ACTION check_account -SAPR3-ACCOUNT <account_name>

  • Windows:

    <Agent home directory>\CM\SAP\EXE\ctmr3req -SAPR3-ACTION check_account

    -SAPR3-ACCOUNT <account_name>

  For a list of parameters, see check_account parameters.

  EXAMPLE: The ctmr3req utility deletes a job. All parameters are mandatory.

  ctmr3req -SAPR3-ACTION CHECK_ACCOUNT -SAPR3-ACCOUNT STAR
