Adding rules to extract SAP jobs

This procedure describes how to add extraction rules so that the intercepted jobs are put on hold in Scheduled status until they are released by Control-M.

To add rules to extract SAP jobs:

1. From the CCM, right-click the Control-M for SAP on the host that you want to manage, and select Extractor Management.

   The Extractor Management dialog box appears.

2. From the Extractor Definitions area, in the Connection Profile Name field, select the required Connection Profile Name.
3. In the Extraction Criteria tab, in the Jobs Extraction Criteria area, select the criteria that you want to add rules.
4. In the Extraction Rules area, click .

   The Add Extraction Rule dialog box appears.

5. For each field, define the required value as described in Extraction Rules parameters.

   NOTE: Consider how you specify Job Name and User Name criteria. Definitions that are too general (for example, entering * in both fields), could cause system or other user jobs to be intercepted. Additionally, ensure that you have no more than one connection profile that uses Interception rules using the same system and client.

6. Click OK.

   The new extraction rule is created.
