The Control-M for PeopleSoft psftcm extract utility enables you to monitor and control a current executing job or process by extracting information about the job and/or to create a new job in Control-M, as described in Extracting an executing job or process.
The extract utility can also extract job or process definitions from PeopleSoft to Control-M, which enables you to build a Control-M job definition based on the original and form folders using these definitions, as described in Extracting job or process definitions.
Before performing either of the above procedures, you must build a Rule File, as described in Building a rule file.
NOTE: When a Control-M for PeopleSoft job executes with matching criteria specified in the rule file, no duplicate image is created, unless Control-M for PeopleSoft stops and restarts. If the Extract utility runs twice in 24 hours, extracted jobs cannot extract again.
