Configuring Windows cluster environments

This procedure describes how to configure a Windows Cluster environment.

NOTE: The Oracle Client must be installed on the same computer as Control-M/Agent. On UNIX, the Oracle client must be installed on a different account.

To configure Windows cluster environments:

1. In a Windows Cluster environment, do the following:
   • The path to the Oracle Home Directory is identical on all nodes.
   • In Oracle Client version 9.2.04, the following registry keys are identical on all nodes:

     HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORACLE\ALL_HOMES

     HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORACLE\ID<n>

     HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORACLE\HOME<n>

     All sub-keys and values must be duplicated to all nodes.

   • In Oracle Client version 10G and 11, the following registry key is identical on all nodes:

     HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORACLE\KEY_<Client_Name>

     All sub-keys and values must be duplicated to all nodes.

   • The ORACLE_HOME\bin directory exists in the PATH environment variable on all nodes. The PATH registry key is located under the following:

     HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SessionManager\Environment\ PATH

2. On all Windows environments:
   • Ensure that the ORACLE_HOME and TNS_ADMIN environment variables are set properly, according to Oracle instructions.
