The following procedure describes how to create an alert variable for a job.

To create an alert variable:

1. From the Add Control-M Job To Order, in the Variables field, click .

   The Add Auto-Edit dialog box appears.

2. Add the Variable and Value (blank spaces permitted).

   Structure: %%<variable name> <variable value>

3. Click OK.
