Monitoring requests and request sets running in Oracle E-Business Suite

The Control-M for Oracle E-Business Suite Monitoring utility enables you to monitor concurrent requests and request sets submitted in the Oracle E-Business Suite through Control-M.

When concurrent requests/request sets that match the monitoring rules file’s search criteria are found, the Control-M for Oracle E-Business Suite Monitoring utility creates a mirror-image Control-M job, and the concurrent requests/request sets are monitored from Control-M using that image.

To use the Monitoring utility:

1. Create the required monitoring rule file.

   The Monitoring utility acts in accordance to the details in the rule file. For more information, see Creating a rule file.

2. Enter the Monitoring command:
   • UNIX:
     1. Ensure that you are logged in as the Control-M/Agent user.
     2. Run the following command:

        ctmextract -CM_APPL_TYPE OEBS -OAP-INSTANCE <Account name> -RULETABLE <path to monitoring rule file> [-DBGLVL 0-5]

   • Windows:
     1. Open command prompt and navigate to

        <Agent home directory>\CM\OAP\EXE\

     2. Run the following command:

        ctmextract -CM_APPL_TYPE OEBS -OAP-INSTANCE <Account name> -RULETABLE <path to monitoring rule file> [-DBGLVL 0-5] [-AGENT <agent_name>]
