Setting the output file name prefix

You can assign a specific prefix to the output file name. The following procedure describes how to set the output file name prefix.

To set the output file name prefix:

1. Do one of the following:
   • UNIX: Open the <agent_home_dir>/ctm/data/OEBS.dat file.
   • Windows: Open the Windows registry and navigate to the relevant Control-M for Oracle E-Business Suite registry.

   EXAMPLE: On the default agent:

   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\BMC Software\CONTROL-M/AGENT\OEBS

2. Edit the value of the OUTPUT_NAME parameter to one of the following:
   • JOBNAME
   • FILE NAME
   • N
3. Upon completion, restart the CONTROL-M Agent processes.

   If the value of OUTPUT_NAME is JOBNAME, the name of the output file will be the following:

   <jobname>_<order id>_<run no.>.dat.

   NOTE: When the New Day Procedure deletes old output files, it uses the OUTPUT_NAME parameter value to determine the format of the Output file names. Old Output files that have a different format are not deleted and must therefore be deleted manually.
