Database users

You can run a script to create a new BMC user, with the minimum authorizations required to work with Control-M for Oracle E-Business Suite, which removes the necessity for using the APPS user. The script supports the Oracle Database Server 9.2 and later.

The newly-created BMC user has the following permissions automatically granted:

• APPS tables, views and synonyms: All
• APPS procedures, packages and functions: Execute
• SYSTEM objects: Select and Execute.

  These permissions are only granted on objects for which an APPS user has permissions.

• All tables from different users, (all other database schemas) for which APPS users have Select permissions with grant option enabled: Select.

  Additionally, proper synonyms are automatically created for all the objects for the BMC user.

NOTE: If a new table is added to the database to which a BMC user requires access, run the script again for the BMC user.
