Defining alerts to watch

This procedure describes how to define alerts to watch so that Control-M for Oracle E-Business Suite can detect when the specified alert occurs and what action to take, such as, running a job, or adding or deleting a condition to the active conditions.

To define alerts to watch:

1. From the CCM, right-click the Control-M for Oracle E-Business Suite component on the host that you want to manage, and select Event Watcher Management.

   The CM for Oracle E-Business Suite - Event Watcher Management dialog box appears.

2. In the Activate Event Watcher field, select On.
3. In the Watching Interval Time field, select how often in seconds to check for alerts.
4. In the OEBS Connection Profile field, select the connection profile whose events must be watched.
5. Click in the Watch for the following alerts area.

   The Add Event dialog box appears.

6. In the Application field, type the name of the application that owns the alert or click Load to select an Oracle E-Business Suite application.
7. In the Alert Name field, type the name of the alert that you want the Event Watcher to monitor or click Load to select an Oracle E-Business Suite alert.
8. In the Execute Control-M actions if at least one field, select one of the actions, as described in Control-M for Oracle E-Business Suite alert parameters.
9. Click OK.

   Control-M for Oracle E-Business Suite alerts is now defined.

10. Repeat this procedure for all required alerts.
