Setting up Control-M for Oracle E-Business Suite Watcher process

The procedure describes how to set up Control-M for Oracle E-Business Suite Watcher process, which needs to be activated on the Control-M for Oracle E-Business Suite node.

To set up Control-M for Oracle E-Business Suite:

1. Do one of the following:
   • UNIX: Do the following:
   1. Login to the relevant Control-M/Agent account where the Control-M for Oracle E-Business Suite is installed.
   2. In the command prompt, type the following:
      • start-ow: Starts Control-M for Oracle E-Business Suite Watcher process.
      • show-ow: Shows whether Control-M for Oracle E-Business Suite Watcher process is up.
      • stop-ow: Stops the Control-M for Oracle E-Business Suite Watcher process.
   • Windows: Do the following:
   1. Select Start => Settings => Control Panel => Administrative Tools => Services.
   2. In the Windows Services dialog box, start or stop the Control-M for Oracle E-Business Suite Watcher service.

   NOTE: If the Control-M for Oracle E-Business Suite is installed on a non-default Control-M Agent, the service name is Control-M <Agent Name> OEBS Watcher.

2. Ensure you have the following Control-M/EM user permissions in CCM:
   • BROWSE: Enables you to view Event Watcher general configuration and rules.
   • UPDATE: Enables you to change Event Watcher general configuration and rules, and to clear Events from OEBS system.
