Adding conditions to execute after an alert confirmation

This procedure describes how to add conditions to execute so that Control-M for Oracle E-Business Suite can perform the required procedure when the specified condition has occurred.

To add conditions to execute after an alert confirmation:

  1. From the CCM, right-click the Control-M for Oracle E-Business Suite component on the host that you want to manage, and select Event Watcher Management.

The CM for Oracle E-Business Suite - Event Watcher Management dialog box appears.

  2. In the Activate Event Watcher field, select On.
  3. In the Watching Interval Time field, select how often in seconds to check for alerts.
  4. In the OEBS Connection Profile field, select the connection profile whose alerts can be monitored.
  5. In the Define Control-M actions to execute after alert confirmation area, in the Conditions tab, click Add.

The Add Control-M Condition dialog box appears.

  6. In the Name field, type the unique name of the condition that you want to add that must begin with a letter and without any blanks or special characters.

NOTE: If the Name parameter is left empty, the condition created in Control-M is named in the following way:

    oebs_<Event_ID>_<Event_Param>

If the Event ID parameter value is OEBS_END_OF_JOB, the OEBS event parameter value is truncated, and the job count number is omitted from the condition.

If the OEBS event parameter value is left blank, the condition structure is: oebs_<Event_ID>

  7. In the Date field, select either ODAT (default) or STAT.

    NOTE:

  8. In the Action field, select either ADD (default) or DELETE.

NOTE: Specify "*" by itself to include all dates (only valid for DELETE actions).

  9. Click OK.

The condition is added to the alert. For more information about specifying conditions, see Using Control-M.
