Before you can define a Control-M for IBM InfoSphere DataStage job in Control-M, you need to create a connection profile in the Control-M Configuration Manager, which enables you to connect to the required IBM InfoSphere DataStage server.
A connection profile contains the connection parameters to a specified IBM InfoSphere DataStage server, such as Subscription ID. By adding a connection profile to the Control-M Configuration Manager, you enable Control-M for IBM InfoSphere DataStage users to connect to the required IBM InfoSphere DataStage server with only the connection profile name.
Users then can run a job without having to provide authentication details every time they connect to the IBM InfoSphere DataStage server.
