Validating a Control-M Messaging API account

This topic describes how to validate an account in the Control-M Messaging API.

To validate an account:

1. Do one of the following:
   • Windows: From All Programs, highlight BMC Control-M API 9.0.00 and click Messaging Account Management.

     NOTE: For Windows Vista and above, you need to open the file location and Run as Administrator.

   • UNIX: Navigate to the installation directory, and run bin/ctmwsapiacc.

   The Control-M Messaging API - Messaging Account Management window appears.

2. Highlight the account you want to validate and click .

   If the test completes successfully, the account validates.

3. Click OK.

   NOTE: For TIBCO type accounts, if the account validates successfully, the following error message appears:

   javax.naming.OperationNotSupportedException: Not supported
