Copying a Control-M Web Services API account

This topic describes how to copy an account in Control-M Web Services API.

To copy an account:

1. Do one of the following:
   • Windows: From All Programs, highlight BMC Control-M API 9.0.00 and click Web Services Account Management.

     NOTE: For Windows Vista and above you need to open the file location and Run as Administrator.

   • UNIX: Navigate to the installation directory, and run bin/ctmwsapiacc.

   The Control-M Web Services API - Web Services Account Management window appears.

2. Highlight the account you want to copy and click .

   The Copy window appears.

3. In the Account Name field, type a new account name.

   NOTE: A new account is created based on the account that was originally copied.

4. If you want to change parameters, type or select one or more of the following:
   • General tab: Account Definition - General tab parameters.
   • EM Server tab: Account definition - EM Servers tab parameters.
5. (Optional) If you want to ensure the parameter values are correct, click Apply and then click Validate.
6. Click OK.
