Creating a Control-M Web Services API account

This topic describes how to create an account in Control-M Web Services API.

To add a new account:

1. Do one of the following:
   • Windows: From All Programs, highlight BMC Control-M API 9.0.00 and click Web Services Account Management.

     NOTE: For Windows Vista and above, you need to open the file location and Run as Administrator.

   • UNIX: Navigate to the installation directory, and run bin/ctmwsapiacc.

   The Control-M Web Services API - Web Services Account Management window appears.

2. Click .

   The New dialog box appears.

3. In the General tab type the Account parameters, as described in Account Definition - General tab parameters.
4. In the EM Servers tab, type the values for the Control-M/EM Configuration parameters as required, as described in Account definition - EM Servers tab parameters

   NOTE: In the EM Servers tab, the EM Version, EM Host, EM Port and SSL fields can only be configured in the API General Settings window. For more information, see Defining Control-M Web Services API parameters for all accounts.

   The EM User and EM Password fields appear when you select the Automatic sign in check box.

5. (Optional) If you want to ensure the parameter values are correct, click Apply and then click Validate.
6. Click OK.
