Testing a Control-M for Messaging connection profile

This procedure describes how to test a Control-M for Messaging connection profile in the Control-M Configuration Manager, to validate the connection parameters.

To test a Control-M for Messaging connection profile:

1. From Control-M Configuration Manager, select Control-M for Messaging, right click and select Messaging Connection Profile Management.

   The Control-M for Messaging Connection Profile Management dialog box appears.

2. Select the connection profile that you want to test, and click .

   If the test completes successfully, the connection profile validates and you can now define a Messaging job, as described in Defining a Control-M for Java job . If the test fails, review the error message(s), fix any problems as necessary, and test it again.

   NOTE: For TIBCO type accounts, if the account validates successfully, the following error message appears:

   javax.naming.OperationNotSupportedException: Not supported
