Application Server parameters

The following table describes the Application Server parameters.

Parameter

Description

JDNI Service parameters

Application Server Host Name

Defines the Network name of the machine where the selected chosen Application Server runs. Mandatory.

Application Server Port Number

Defines the port number for connecting to the desired Application Server. Mandatory.

NOTE: If a user name, password or any other additional data is required, it should be accessed by clicking Advanced JNDI settings.

Advanced JNDI settings

Defines naming context values.

When you click Advanced JNDI settings, a table of Keys and Values are displayed. Click Add to create a new Key and Value row in the table, and type the required information.

NOTE: Key names: no blank spaces permitted, maximum length 64 characters.

NOTE: These settings should only be modified when additional parameters are required (for example, username or password). In all other cases, the host and port names are sufficient.

Required Client Jars

Client Jars Root Directory

Defines the client root directory and contains all the specific application server client libraries. These client libraries can be found in the location in which the specific application server is installed, or by using a separate client installation (such as Websphere 6 Application Server).

The client Jars Root Directory field value must be set to point to the root directory where these libraries are found. For more information see Client jars root directory examples.

NOTE: If Control-M for WJM is not installed on the same computer as the relevant application server, the client directory should be copied onto or installed on the computer on which Control-M for WJM resides.

Either enter, or Browse to the directory containing the required client jars of the chosen application server.

Client Jars Table

Click Client Jars Table to view the client Jar files that are used to connect to the selected application server.

NOTE: These values should only be modified in very specific and extreme cases, when the Client Jars Root Directory is not sufficient.

The value of the $CLIENT_DIR$ variable is the path to the application server's directory, set in the Client Jars Root Directory field.
