Defining a Control-M for Messaging job

This procedure describes how to define a Control-M for Messaging job, which enables you to run Messaging jobs and reports on a Control-M for Messaging server.

Before You Begin

Ensure that you have met the following requirements:

To define a Control-M for Messaging job:

  1. From the Connection Profile field, type the connection profile, or click Browse_new.

    The Connection Profile Selection dialog box appears.

  2. Select the connection profile that you want to use to run a Control-M for Messaging job or report, and click OK.

    The Connection Profile field is set.

  3. In the Action type field, define the message to be sent to the queue, by selecting one of the following:
  4. To change settings, click Advanced Message Settings.

    The Advanced Message Settings dialog box appears. For more information, see Advanced Message Settings.

    NOTE: Parameters are enabled or disabled according to how the connection profile is configured. Use Default refers to the specified default for this configuration.

  5. From the Advanced Message Settings dialog box, click OK.
  6. Do one the following:

    NOTE: Only applicable if the job or account is set up with reply option.

  7. If you do not want the job Output displayed, click Exclude Job Output.
  8. If you do not want header information banner and the outgoing message added to the Output, click No Output Banner.

  9. Continue to define a job, as described in Using Control-M Workload AutomationControl-M.
