Removing old Control-M/Agent installations

This procedure describes how to remove old Control-M/Agent installations that have accumulated on the Control-M/Agent host after upgrading to a new version of Control-M/Agent. This reduces the size and resource required to run Control-M/Agent.

The RemoveAgentBackups utility removes all previous installations of Control-M/Agent except the latest. If you upgraded from version 9.0.00.500 to version 9.0.20, 9.0.00.500 and its GA version, 9.0.00 is saved.

To remove old Control-M/Agent installations:

1. Navigate to one of the following directories:
   • UNIX: <Control-M/Agent directory>/ctm_agent/
   • Windows: <Control-M/Agent directory>\BMCINSTALL
2. Run one of the following:
   • UNIX: bash ./BMCINSTALL/RemoveAgentBackups.sh
   • Windows: RemoveAgentBackups.bat (Run as Administrator)

   If you want to remove all installations including the latest, run RemoveAgentBackups -force. If you run this command, you cannot downgrade to a previous version of Control-M/Agent.
