Before you deploy your job type to Control-M you can test it to ensure that it is valid. You can do any of the following:
Validate: Enables you to validate steps and parameters. When clicking Validate from the tool bar a dialog box appears which displays any warnings or whether the job type is valid.
Test: Enables you to test the job type and different scenarios such as different values in job properties and connection profile properties before deployment. For more information, see Job type testing.
After you finished testing and the job type is validated, you can now deploy the job type to Control-M, as described in Job type deployment.
