Defining a Command Line output handling rule

This procedure describes how to define an output handling rule for a Command Line operation step.

To define an output handling rule:

1. In the Output Handling area, click .

   The Output Handling window appears.

2. In the If field, from the drop-down list, select one of the output line options.
3. In the next field, type the characters you want to use and then add any parameters by clicking and select one of the following:
   • A previously defined parameter from the list.
   • A new parameter by selecting Create Parameter and then click one of the following:
     • In job form
     • In connection profile

     The Add Parameter window appears.

     Type the parameters, as described in General parameters.

4. In the Do field, from the drop-down list complete the Output Handling parameters for Command Line.

   NOTE: In the Do field, if you select Extract and handle data, you can add Runtime Parameters in the Designer area, as described in Runtime Parameters view.

5. If you want to add more output rules, click .and repeat step 4.
6. Click OK.
