Before you can define a Control-M for Oracle Retail job in Control-M Workload Automation, you need to create a connection profile in the Control-M Configuration Manager, which enables you to connect to the required Oracle Retail server.
A connection profile contains the connection parameters to a specified Oracle Retail server, such as host name, port, user name, and password. By adding a connection profile to the Control-M Configuration Manager, you enable Control-M for Oracle Retail users to connect to the required Oracle Retail server with only the connection profile name.
Users then can run a job without having to provide authentication details every time they connect to the Oracle Retail server.
The following procedures describe how to create, edit, delete, test, copy, and export a connection profile in the CCM.
